bunch of Despotic fascists when they ban a reputable fact based speaker
Whitworth actually doesn't practice "inviting students to ask questions of faith and explore different points of view" ~ they won't allow one of the greatest advocates of our time for Judeo Christian values speak on campus. They silenced the speech of Mr. Shapiro when it's pretty clear that at least 50% of the representative student body wants to hear from him. With this kind of attitude, Whitworth does a disservice to both it's students and for free speech.
We sent one of our children to Whitworth. After seeing how they handle free speech & treat those with Conservative opinions (ie. Banning Ben Shapiro from speaking), we'll be sure not to make that mistake again with the others.
When you stifle the conservative view on campus and only show the liberal side you are doing a great disservice to your students. By not allowing the very smart, Very eloquent speaker Ben Shapiro to speak on your campus you are not allowing free speech. There should be fair debates and both sides should be represented,
Parent of a freshman that just moved in this weekend but if this weekend is an example of the hospitality, outreach, support and commitment this university community has to their students and families I am SO excited my daughter has chosen this school for her education!
